Sarah Bade, LPC

Sarah holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Clarks Summit University (formerly Baptist Bible College) and a double major in Bible/Theology and Counseling Ministries also from Clarks Summit. She is EMDR Trained as well as TBRI Trained and is a Theraplay Foundational Practitioner. Additionally, Sarah is trained in Making Sense of Your Worth, a program designed to promote self-worth and secure attachment in adults.

As a counselor, I enjoy helping clients gain insight into their circumstances and themselves, set and achieve their goals, and make sense of their situation from a Christian perspective. Guided by God’s Word, I seek to meet clients where they are while helping them find wholeness and better understand the relevance of God’s truth as they are open. I firmly believe that change is possible through the power of God’s grace and the working of His Spirit. At the same time, individual clients can decide to what extent they would like to incorporate Christian spirituality and practices into therapy.

Whoever I am serving, I counsel knowing that each person has dignity and worth and a story to tell and that each client is unique and has different needs that will inform the healing process. Ultimately, I hope to assist, equip, and empower clients in reaching their God-given potential while living in a broken world.

In my counseling, I draw from reality therapy, rational emotive behavioral therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, and Christian/biblical counseling. I have lived in Houston since 2019 and enjoy music, reading, the outdoors, listening to podcasts, and honing my pickleball skills.

Jacqui Osbourne, MA, LPC-A

Jacqueline Osbourne is a graduate from Dallas Theological Seminary earning her Master's in Biblical Counseling. Her approach to therapy is integrated with psychology filtered through the lens of a biblical worldview. She brings into sessions Cognitive Behavioral, Attachment, Person-Centered, Trauma-Informed, and Family Systems theories and therapies. Her goal is for her and her clients to develop trust and safety on their journey of healing and growth. As a multiracial woman herself she hopes to help clients see and celebrate their own stories.

The road that led Jacqui to counseling was a creative one. A bachelor's degree of Fine Arts in Graphic Design she was led to a life in Christ. Beginning her faith journey she found a passion for people, especially wanting to help people grow. For the last seven years, she has worked as a local missionary to a multicultural church plant. She was a staff member in charge of media and music, shared the gospel, and discipled women of various ages and cultural backgrounds. As a counselor, she hopes to bring some of these creative and spiritual practices to counseling sessions to help clients process, cope, heal, and grow.

About Me

Since 2006, I have worked directly with clients experiencing crisis, trauma, addiction, and other mental health struggles in a variety of social work, criminal justice, and mental health settings. I currently enjoy working with adolescents, adults, families and couples. Because we are all so unique, I believe it is important to have a versatile therapeutic “toolbox.” I am skilled in a variety of therapeutic approaches, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and other mindfulness-based practices, to name a few. Having worked in inpatient psychiatric settings, I am also equipped to work with individuals who have varying types of mental health conditions.

I believe the therapeutic relationship is the most important piece of the healing process, and I strive to create a collaborative relationship with my clients, because, at the end of the day, no number of degrees and certifications and trainings can trump the fact that YOU are the expert on YOU! I love this quote from Ann Voskamp, "Shame dies when stories are told in safe spaces.” I would be honored to hold your story in a safe, caring space, and help you create new, joyful chapters in your life.
