  • Do I need to be a Christian to receive counseling here?

    No. While we are a Christian counseling center and our therapists operate from a biblical worldview, we welcome anyone seeking help—regardless of their faith background.

  • Do you take insurance?

    We do not accept insurance at this time. However, we’re happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your provider for potential reimbursement, depending on your out-of-network benefits.

  • How much does a counseling session cost?

    Session fees vary based on the counselor and service provided. When you contact us, we’ll walk you through the options and match you with the right counselor for your needs and budget.

  • Are your counselors licensed?

    Yes. All of our counselors are licensed professionals trained in evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, and EMDR. They also integrate Christian values into the counseling process with care and discernment.

  • Do you see children and teens?

    Yes. We provide counseling for children ages 2 and up, as well as adolescents and teenagers. Our counselors are trained in play therapy, Theraplay®, art therapy, and trauma-informed care for young clients.

  • Do I have to be a member of Fairfield Baptist Church (or any church) to come?

    Not at all. The Apollos Center is open to the entire Cypress community and beyond. You do not need to be a member of any church to receive counseling here.

  • How do I get started?

    You can get started in one of two ways:

    We’ll ask a few questions, match you with a counselor, and schedule your first session.

    Absolutely. We work with couples in all stages—whether you're preparing for marriage, navigating a difficult season, or looking to strengthen your relationship through Christ-centered guidance.

  • What are your session rates and do you accept insurance?

    Session Rates: LPC: $140/50-min. LPC-A: $110/50-min. Intern: $60/50-min. Insurance: We are self-pay but can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. We accept card, HSA, and FSA payments.

  • What is the process for scheduling my first appointment?

    You contact us via the online form or phone. We will connect with you within 24 hours to match you with the right counselor based on your needs (e.g., trauma, anxiety, family support) and schedule your first session.

  • Do I need to be a member of Fairfield Baptist Church or Christian to receive counseling?

    No, you do not need to be a member of FBC, nor do you need to be a Christian. We welcome individuals and families from all backgrounds who are seeking healing. (Note: FBC members receive a $20/session discount.)
